The City of Portland's customer portal for online permitting has changed to provide customers with a more friendly user experience.  If this is your first time using DevHub or if you simply need a refresher about the portal, please click on the left "Help and FAQs" tab for more information.
From August 15, 2025 – September 30, 2028, permits for newly created housing units may be exempt from system development charges (SDCs) under certain conditions. Learn more about those exemptions and whether they may apply to your project by reading our Temporary SDC exemptions page. 

From October 24, 2025 - January 1, 2029, the City will temporarily suspend certain rules that apply to residential and commercial projects that add to, or alter, existing developments. These rule suspensions impact street tree planting; street improvements, such as to sidewalks, curbs, and ramps; seismic evaluations; and site upgrades. Residential Inspection customers can find their scheduled inspection time window for the current date each day after 8:00 a.m. on Portland Maps. Please visit Portland Maps, enter either your IVR or application number, and then click Search.

Communications about permits will be sent from portlandoregon.gov e-mail addresses. Many customers have found that our responses have gone to their Junk Mail folders. Please make sure portlandoregon.gov is in your e-mail allow-list.
